Change is good.

What will be different in the clinic 2025

Dear current and potential clients,

Here is what will change starting January 1st, 2025. These changes ensure your therapist is compensated properly and fairly for the experience and skills brought to every treatment.

1. Strait fee. There will no longer be a sliding scale offered for payment. In order to cover the cost of office rental, yearly registration fees and continuing education, I can no longer accept payment less than the the standard Registered Massage Therapist fee schedule of $110/hour. I will not be increasing fees this year.

2. No new ICBC client intakes. I initially offered direct billing for ICBC clients to provide the most ease and access to services. The drawback has been that ICBC does not fully compensate the health care provider for the time it requires to do reporting and the hour time slot booked to provide assessment and treatment. New ICBC clients can pay up front for treatment and be reimbursed by ICBC.

3. Missed appointments compensation. Missed appointments without 24 hours cancelation notice will be required to pay 50% of the missed appointment fee before rescheduling for a next appointment. Exceptions can be made for emergencies.

With these adjustments in place, I will be glad to see each and every one of you, as I bring my best intentions to the work with you every day. I love what I do, and hope to continue joyfully serving the valley.

Sincerely,

Jessica Coonen RMT
